Shellye Poster is a photographer, teaching artist and Youth in Focus mentor. She studied photography at the University of Maryland and Rocky Mountain School of Photography. In the fall of 2004 she served as Badlands National Park's Artist in Residence.

Her work has been published by The Wilderness Society, National Wildlife Federation, and Emerald Point Press' VIEWS books series. Framed images have been featured in the Anacortes Arts Festival, City of Kent Portable Gallery, and the State of Washington's Lt. Governor shows New Beginnings and Washington Blooms.
